As we transition to being an affiliate of Gretna Elite Academy, what does the merger mean for Elite Girls/Boys Academy-Lincoln members?

We were fortunate to be a part of the Elite Girls/Boys Academy over the past five years and to be able to provide Lincoln families with youth soccer opportunities that are unmatched in the Lincoln area. From a player, competition, and coaching standpoint, the merger and our position as an affiliate will result in very few changes for our current members as well as the new families that wish to join us for the 2020-21 soccer year. In short, we will be the Lincoln affiliate of the Gretna Elite Academy and all of our programming will be focused in Lincoln. The major change for our members will be in a shift in how we, as the Lincoln affiliate of Gretna Elite Academy, operate from an administrative standpoint (details below).

What exactly does it mean to be the Lincoln affiliate of Gretna Elite Academy?

For the families that are registered with Elite Girls/Boys Academy-Lincoln currently, and for the families looking to join in the future, this is what you can expect as a Gretna Elite Academy- Lincoln Affiliate:

Leadership and Coaching:

The Lincoln leadership is not changing as Tom and Jen Burkey, in consultation with the Lincoln coaching staff and, will oversee all aspects of the programming in Lincoln. Together, Jen and Tom bring ~60 years of youth, high school, and college coaching experience to our Lincoln-based players and teams. As an added bonus you will also have access to the pool of leaders and coaches formed by the merger of two proven organizations.

Transparency and financial accountability:

Your fees will be set by the Lincoln affiliate and will be earmarked for Lincoln-based teams. As an affiliate, a small per player fee ($50) will be allocated to Gretna Elite Academy for registration purposes. The balance of your dues will be allocated to the cost of participation in Lincoln (Lincoln administrative costs, Lincoln coaching costs, Lincoln facility costs, etc.)

Where will Gretna Elite Academy-Lincoln programming take place?

All programs and teams will utilize facilities in Lincoln, NE (including Speedway Village) for training and home matches. On occasion, players/teams may be provided opportunities to interact with our partner teams and coaching staff in both Lincoln and Gretna.

What programming will Gretna Elite Academy-Lincoln offer?

Programming will mirror what our parent club (Gretna Elite Academy) offers:
